How It’s Made
Our Craftsmanship Story
Handmade Craftsmanship
At LESKLE Jewelry, each piece is crafted by hand, rooted in the rich traditions of ceramics artistry. We honor the age-old techniques of porcelain craftsmanship while infusing our own innovative touches. From raw porcelain clay to finished jewelry, every step of the process is a labor of love and meticulous attention to detail.
Color Creation
Our journey with color is an artistic exploration. Drawing inspiration from the natural world, we mix and experiment with pigments until we achieve the perfect shades for our porcelain. Occasionally, we incorporate subtle metallic pigments, transforming the porcelain’s color from classic to extraordinary.
Forming Shape and Texture
The creative process begins by shaping the raw porcelain clay into unique forms. We cut, mold, and hand-shape each piece using a combination of traditional and self-developed techniques. The natural beauty of porcelain inspires us to create jewelry with diverse textures and fluid shapes, bringing our vision to life.
First Kiln Firing
Once shaped, the porcelain undergoes its first firing, known as the bisque firing. This crucial step strengthens the clay, making it resilient for the next phases. The porcelain is fired at a high temperature, pulling out moisture and transforming it from a delicate material into a sturdy foundation.
Refining the Details
After the first firing, we polish each piece to soften any sharp edges, ensuring a comfortable wear without compromising on the uniqueness of the design. This process adds an extra layer of refinement, preparing the pieces for the next stage of glazing.
Washing and Preparing
Before glazing, each piece is meticulously cleaned to remove any remaining dust or imperfections. This guarantees that the glaze adheres smoothly, resulting in a flawless finish. The pieces are then left to dry, ensuring they are completely moisture-free before the second firing.
Mastery of Glazing
Some pieces receive a transparent glaze, which, under the intense heat of the kiln (up to 1260°C/2300°F), transforms into a smooth, glass-like coating. This glossy surface acts as the perfect canvas for our 24K gold or platinum luster. We also celebrate the raw beauty of porcelain by leaving some parts unglazed, offering a contrast between the refined and the organic.

Hand-Painted Gold and Platinum Luster
After glazing, selected pieces are hand-painted with delicate strokes of 24K gold or platinum luster. This step requires extreme precision and patience, as we aim to bring out the luxurious beauty of the porcelain. Once applied, the pieces undergo a final round of firing, bonding the precious metals to the surface and giving each piece its unique shimmer.
Handcrafted Sterling Silver Details
We don’t stop with porcelain. Many of our designs incorporate sterling silver accents, which we handcraft in our studio. From clasps to chains, each silver element is designed to complement the porcelain and add a touch of understated elegance.
Final Assembly
Once the porcelain and sterling silver elements are complete, we bring it all together. Each piece is assembled with hypoallergenic materials such as stainless steel and sterling silver, ensuring that our jewelry is as comfortable as it is beautiful. The result is a harmonious blend of artistry, craftsmanship, and comfort that defines every piece of LESKLE Jewelry.
