From Childhood Friends to Crafting Timeless Beauty
LESKLE Jewelry was born from a friendship that began decades before our brand ever existed. As kids living in the same apartment building in Slovakia, we—Juraj and Matej—spent our days climbing over balconies to visit each other, sharing dreams, and exploring the world through curious eyes.
Back then, I, Matej, was the one drawn to art, always scribbling, painting, and imagining. Juraj, on the other hand, pursued sports at a professional level. Our paths seemed different, but something always united us—an appreciation for craft, quality, and the beauty in the world around us.
A Return to Craftsmanship
Fast forward to 2019, when we both found ourselves frustrated with the fast-paced consumer culture that surrounds us—products made to be quickly produced, quickly consumed, and quickly forgotten. We longed for something more meaningful, something that would last, something that would tell a story.
That's when we launched our first brand, Mniau, working with renewable resources like wood to create hand-painted jewelry. We loved every moment of it, and it was during this time that our passion for slow, intentional craftsmanship truly came alive.
Discovering Porcelain, One Failure at a Time
But it wasn’t until one night, over a shared bottle of wine after a long day's work, that we had the wild idea of working with porcelain. We invested in a kiln, bought the equipment, and dove headfirst into an entirely new world.
Of course, our first few attempts were anything but perfect. Our studio looked more like a chemistry lab than an art space—porcelain is not an easy material to master. Mixing the right colors, controlling the kiln’s heat—it took years of trial and error. But in each failure, we found new ways to grow, pushing our boundaries and discovering what LESKLE Jewelry could become.
The Beauty of Nature, Captured in Every Piece
Three years later, we finally created our first collections. Inspired by the purity and simplicity of nature, each piece of LESKLE Jewelry is hand-painted, unique, and crafted with care right here in Slovakia. The marble patterns and precious metal details make every design one of a kind—no two pieces are ever the same.
But for us, it’s about more than just jewelry. LESKLE is about slowing down, appreciating craftsmanship, and embracing the beauty in imperfection. It’s about creating something that lasts, something that’s as unique as the person who wears it.
